The Few Rules We Take Seriously

Your captain has the final word

On the route, the weather, and anything safety-related.

Main deck is your deck

The upper deck is off-limits to guests — it's a vessel stability requirement, not us being precious.

Spread out, don't crowd one side

Pontoons are steady, but eight people rushing one rail for a seal photo will test that theory.

Swimming only at designated stops

When your captain gives the go-ahead.

Life jackets are onboard for everyone

Mandatory for children and non-swimmers, worn at all times. Your captain will fit them at boarding and show everyone where the rest are kept.

What time should we arrive?

We recommend arriving about 10 minutes before your scheduled departure. It gives everyone time to get together, settle in, and start your Pink Boat experience right on time. 💗

What happens if we arrive late?

We get it — getting the whole crew together can take a minute! Your Pink Boat time starts at your scheduled departure, so arriving late means a little less time on the water. We can't extend the trip if another booking follows, so plan to arrive 10 minutes early and enjoy every minute of your cruise.

What should we bring?

Bring your favourite food and drinks, sunscreen, sunglasses, and anything you'd like for your celebration. A warm layer is always a good idea — it can feel cooler on the water even on sunny Vancouver days.

What should we wear?

Dress comfortably and in layers — it can feel cooler on the water even on warm days. We also recommend waterproof shoes or shoes you don't mind getting wet, especially if you're planning to swim.

What happens if the weather turns on the day?

We watch the forecast all week and make the final call on the morning of your trip. If conditions aren't safe or simply won't be enjoyable, we'll reach out to you directly and reschedule to any available date, free of charge — that's our Rain-Check Guarantee. You don't need to monitor anything or make the call yourself: if you haven't heard from us, your float is on.

Can we add one more person last-minute?

Absolutely! As long as your group stays within our maximum capacity of 8 guests, we'll be happy to update your booking. Just let us know before your cruise.

Can we bring a cake?

Absolutely — cakes and Pink Boat were made for each other. One heartfelt request: our lounge is white and pink, and red velvet crumbs plus buttercream have strong opinions about upholstery. Bring a cake board or tray with a rim, keep it in the cooler until the moment, and we'll happily hand out plates and napkins. Candles are fine at anchor; your captain will tell you when.

Can my dog really come?

Yes. Bring water, a leash for the dock, and a towel if your pup swims. Just mention your dog when booking so we can plan the space.

Do we all need to sign the waiver, or just the organiser?

Everyone aboard signs their own waiver — it takes about a minute on a phone, and we email the link ahead of time. Organisers: forward it to your group before the day, and boarding will take minutes instead of a paperwork party at the dock. Guests without a signed waiver can't board, so it's the one piece of homework that matters.
